Our Writing Process
The most common question we receive writing together is; how do we do it? Collaborative writing is now becoming more common, yet it remains a mystery for those who view writing as a solitary activity. In a nutshell, we are plotters, not pantsers (in writing terms this refers to either creating an outline or writing by the seat of your pants, respectively). We typically outline each chapter and then divvy them out evenly. We’ve also grown together in our writing over the years, so that our styles now merge almost seamlessly. Occasionally, after several revisions of a work in progress, neither of us can tell who wrote what. That is when we know we’ve succeeded in making the text flow together as a whole.
